The name Rave Financial will help us welcome even more of our Texas neighbors into the many benefits of a member-owned financial institution. It reflects the level of service we are committed to providing our members while setting us apart from the status quo. At Rave Financial, we strive to change lives. It’s not just about tools and resources, it’s about people. We see people for who they are, and meet them where they are. On October 2nd, Mobiloil Credit Union will officially switch names to Rave Financial. Changes in our signs, experience centers, products, online banking, and mobile app will take place over the next several months.

There will be no significant impact to your existing relationship with us. We will have a new website address, however, our current mobiloilcu.org address will work until Oct. 10^th and then it will redirect to our new site. We will also be upgrading online banking, the mobile app, and video banking to reflect the brand changes. We will have more information regarding these changes coming soon. Lastly, you will see changes to our exterior signage, brochures, and stationery, beginning in October.

Our charter remains the same, serving people who live, work, worship, or attend school in any of the Texas counties we currently serve: Jefferson, Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Tyler, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Polk, Angelina, San Augustine, or Sabine County.

No. The name change is not the result of a merger or acquisition of any kind. We did not get bought by a bank. We are not turning into a bank. We will continue to be a credit union, owned by you, our members, just as we are today.

Did you know we have not been associated with Mobiloil since 2000 when our charter changed to a community charter? In fact, ExxonMobil has asked us to change our name several times over the last 20 years but we have managed to postpone it. The reality is, this was inevitable. We also know that our current name is a cause for confusion over membership eligibility, creating an obstacle for some in joining our credit union and experiencing everything we have to offer. The volunteer Board of Directors unanimously supports changing the credit union’s name in order to lower that barrier of confusion and welcome more members into our unique credit union ahead.

We spent many months working with a team of board members and management under the guidance of an experienced and respected branding firm.

We consider the costs associated with changing our name to be a smart investment in the future of our credit union, and will help us serve more families and businesses in our communities with our purpose of helping to build their financial strength.

Yes. The credit union will remain 100% owned by you, the members.

No. Everything will stay the same. Our routing number will not change and your account number will remain the same. Therefore, it is not necessary to take any steps to update automatic payments or direct deposit.

Rates and fees will not be affected by the name change. We will continue to monitor our rates and fees as we always have to ensure high value and return to our members. Rates and fees do fluctuate, as they adjust in response to market conditions.

Yes. Your credit card will still work as it always has. Your debit card and PIN will continue to work as they always have. After the name change, credit and debit cards will carry the new name when they are issued as new cards or when existing cards expire and are updated on their regular schedule.

Yes. You can continue using your existing checks until they run out. Upon reorder you will see the credit union’s new name and logo on your checks.

Rave Federal Credit Union based out of New Jersey is not a real credit union. It is a fake credit union that popped up after we received our trademark.
